Most of the video clips below were taken of dolphins in the wild while I was on various whale-watching tours. I've encountered pods of over 1000+ Common Dolphins in the Santa Barbara Channel in southern California on a few occasions. Often, these large pods include very young dolphins, who are able to bowride right along with the older ones. When the pod is chasing a school of fish, you'll often see various sea birds hovering above, hoping for a bite to eat.

Clips in this reel include Short-Beaked Common Dolphins, Long-Beaked Common Dolphins, Dall's Porpoises, and Risso's Dolphins. If you'd like to comment on any of these videos, please visit the OceanSpot channel of YouTube, the OceanSpot blog, or send an e-mail to: oceanspot@yahoo.com

There are about 10 video clips here. Click the filmstrip on the right-hand side to scroll through the various clips or click the play button and all clips will play in succession. Enjoy!
